Our favorite time of the year is upon us … you guessed it … Art Week Miami begins in less than two weeks, kicking off with dozens of Art Basel and citywide events. For us local Miamians, this signifies the being of ‘Season’ – when 3 million parttime residents return to SoFlo and our humble beachside town erupts with energy!
At Designing The District, we’re excited to host our fabulously creative colleagues, friends and family from nearby and afar! Whether you’re venturing from Brickell, Baltimore, or Berlin, we have your go-to agenda of must-see shows, parties, events and activations for Art Week!
Miami Art Week’s official calendar dates this year begin Nov. 30th, 2022, and run through Dec. 4th, 2022.
Burning Man Comes to the Beach!
We’re extremely excited about a stunning, thought-provoking, immersive, and interactive art exhibition coming to Miami this season that is unlike anything before seen in Miami … Burning Man is teleporting to Miami! Throughout the entire week [11/30/22 thru 12/4/22], we'll be working with dozens of globally recognized artists during a four-day, fully immersive art show and event called The House of Infinite Potential (HOIP).
Taking place at the Magic City Innovation District’s New Basecamp located at 298 NE 61st St, Miami, FL 33137 in MiMo Miami from Nov. 30th to Dec. 4th, 2022 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m in front of hundreds of art lovers in an effort to celebrate the human experience, this exhilarating exhibit spans across 9 different rooms and will feature abstract, immersive attractions including a maze, sculpture courtyard, a circus tent with performance artists, two installations created by innovative theater companies, and seven artist-curated installations with live actors.
In addition to the art installations, there will be live music, spoken word & poetry and physical touch with different elements such as water, fire, sand, and fragrant flowers to amplify every attendees connection to reality. The goal of this art exhibit is to remind our fellow humans of their role and responsibility in this life journey that started before them and continues long after them.
This exciting ticketed event will offer a variety of ticket options for art lovers; Tickets range from $25 (pre-sale) to $35 (on-site general admission) and are available in groupings of four for $80.

Paparazzi Bitch Book & Photo Release Party
Join us on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022, at Miami Wellness Power Couple’s private residence, exclusive, and never previously open-to-the-public community space, The Sera Sera Club from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the launch of iconic fashion, art and celebrity covering FORBES editor, celebrity photographer’s new photo book launch: Paparazzi Bitch by Nadja Sayej! This fabulous book features iconic paparazzi photos of Penelope Cruz, Tilda Swinton, Sofia Coppola, and many more.
This event will be jointly hosted by Miami’s premiere fashion designer and event planner extraordinaire, Chelsea Roth, in this beautiful tropical oasis with 100 art lovers, media, influencers, and socialites enjoying lite bites, cocktails, fashion, art, and live music to connect with the author herself, see Sera Sera Social Club for the first time ever, and mingle amongst Miami’s gliteratti. Enjoy an intimate evening of art, sunset cocktails & creativity unleashed as Conscious Artist Collective comes together to raise the vibe and explore the sacred nature connection through different mediums of art with artists Midia Joy, Esther Travels, and rising star photographer, Teo Montoya.

Fashion Fights Art
Celebrity activist and LGBTQ+ fashion icon Elton Ilirjani have partnered with one of our favorite, outrageously fierce street style meet runway brands, House of Mua Mua, for an epic Basel disruption … deemed fashion protest. This flurry of fabulosity starts at the SLS Hotel South Beach for a poolside collection presentation (Tues. 11/29 @ 11:30 AM) and the bus will collect fashionable “protestors” around 3:30 PM. Imagine moving art through fashion and performing throughout the streets during Art Week. This gag is certainly not-to-be-missed.

Celebrity Couturier Gustavo Cadile Debuts 2023 Collection

Acclaimed international couturier Gustavo Cadile, famously known for dressing Kim Kardashian, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Eva Longoria, Sofia Vergara, and many more is launching his first-ever Miami-inspired couture collection deemed, Salvaje.
The capsule is called Salvaje and features 20 beautiful, handmade women’s gowns, cocktail dresses, pant suites, and more.
